The Waconia Marching Band proudly earned 1st Place at the Foley Fun Days Parade on June 17, 2026, delivering an outstanding performance that showcased the talent, dedication, and hard work of its student musicians and directors.
Competing against bands from across the region, Waconia impressed judges and spectators alike with its musical excellence, precision marching, and spirited performance. The first-place finish is a testament to the countless hours of practice and commitment demonstrated by the students throughout the season.
Congratulations to all members of the Waconia Marching Band on this outstanding accomplishment. We look forward to building on this success and continuing to make our community proud throughout the year.

Waconia Band Program Overview
The Waconia Bands offer students a rich and rewarding musical experience beginning in 5th grade and continuing through high school. Our program focuses on skill development, ensemble performance, and a lifelong appreciation for music.
Bands perform regularly throughout the year.
Students are encouraged to take part in the annual Solo and Ensemble Festival.
Our program nurtures both musical excellence and personal growth.

The Waconia Band Boosters have a proud tradition of supporting the band program through volunteerism and fundraising. Each year, members contribute countless hours to ensure students have the opportunity to grow, perform, and thrive through music.
Our Purpose
Our Purpose
The purpose of the Waconia Band Boosters is to support the musical development of students in grades 5–12 enrolled in Waconia ISD 110. The organization fosters strong relationships among students, parents, guardians, band directors, and the broader community.
Our mission is to enhance the instrumental music experience for every student by:
Strengthening community engagement
Coordinating fundraising efforts
Providing resources to support Waconia ISD 110 band programs

Together, we help ensure that every student has the resources and encouragement they need to thrive in their musical journey. From organizing events to coordinating fundraising, the Boosters play a vital role in helping our students pursue music at the highest levels.
Each year the Waconia Bands program supports 800+ students with concert band-based curriculum.
